Dear Lead-Hungry Realtor,
Google recently updated its Maps algorithm and marketers have identified a HUGE opportunity in a few key industries, namely, medical professionals, home services, and REALTORS!
Just to be clear, we are a profit consultancy . . . not just a marketing firm. I did not become a CPA and spend nearly a decade in Fortune 50 audit rooms so that I could just hype up some new marketing "opportunity".
I say "opportunity" tongue in cheek because it sounds so sales-y, but that really is the best way to describe this. I've made a video below so that you can see this for yourself.
Why this Change Matters to You
So here's the deal . . . Google made a few key changes to its algorithm because they found that many searchers were not finding relevant results based on their current location.
You probably saw this for yourself: you search for a dentist on your smartphone and the Google Map would show dentists all near downtown in your city.
So Google made a few changes to help search users to find more relevant results. And that turned into a huge opportunity for folks like you.
Because you too are a service-based business. You don't just want to be found by people near your realtor office. You want people all over town finding you when they type in "realtors in . . . ."
Furthermore, when someone types that into Google, they are specifically looking for a realtor to guide them through the homebuying or homeselling process. They definitely aren't looking for a website like Zillow or Trulia with out-of-date listings. They want a professional realtor.
I know how it feels talking to a salesperson when you know nothing about a how something works. "Frustrating" is the most PG word I can use.
So instead, I created this video below to show you how you can check your own market to see if this "disjointed" listing situation exists in your real estate marketing (explained more in the video).
I certainly can't guarantee that your market is like this. And quite frankly, if it was, then I would be making this pitch myself. Instead, I will show you how to check yourself.
